Frequently Asked Questions
What if "I'm bad at Art" or "I'm not creative"
The art made in Art Therapy sessions is focused on the process, not the final outcome. We call these process images. Often process image are messy, abstract and emerge from the unconscious thus words and meaning making come later. Kat will help you throughout your process - with art supplies, psychoeducation and both verbal and creative forms of processing whatever emerges during your experience.

What's the difference between an Art Teacher and an Art Therapist
An art teacher primarily focuses on educating students about various artistic techniques and principles, helping them develop their skills in creating art. In contrast, an art therapist uses art as a therapeutic tool to help individuals express emotions, explore personal issues, and promote mental well-being. While both roles involve art, the objectives and methods differ significantly, with art teachers emphasizing skill development and art therapists prioritizing emotional healing.
