Hi, I'm Kat
(She/Her)
I am a dual trained and credentialed Art Therapist in both England and the US. I currently reside in beautiful San Diego, California with my two rescue dogs Olive and Riley.

I received my professional training from the University of Derby, England from 2010 -2015. I completed an undergraduate degree in Creative Expressive Therapies and then went on to study a Masters education in Art Therapy, graduating in 2015. Since graduation I have gained 10+ years of professional experiences as an Art Therapist and I currently hold both HCPC registration in England and ATCB/IEATA credentials in the US, allowing me to provide competent Art Therapy services in both countries.
In 2023, I had the absolute honor to receive the American Art Therapy Association's award for "Clinician of the Year", which I will forever be amazed by.

My professional experiences revolve around a deep interest and background in providing Art Therapy in clinical settings to individuals and groups with complex presentations. From day one, I have been deeply interested in exploring trauma as well as interlinking effects and patterns of survival, such as addiction, impact on self, attachment and other co-occurring issues. To date I have worked in many settings including non profits working alongside the legal system, domestic violence refuges, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, women's trauma facilities and coed recovery centers (Levels of care including: Crisis Stabilization, Residential, PHP, IOP and Outpatient).
